Safety & Quality

Vice President of Safety and Quality

I have been with Mid-States for 13 years and am proud that we are achieving world class quality and safety at Mid-States. I am an active member on various PCI Committees, serving as Chairman of the Vendor QA Committee and Vice Chairman for the Plant Certification Committee. I hold various safety and quality certifications along with an associate’s degree in criminal law and bachelor of science in business (still working on my MBA in safety). My greatest blessing and accomplishment is my family. I have an amazing wife and four great children. Three graduated from college, one still at home. All (the kids) have given me grey hair.

Off the Clock
USA Swim Official and Secretary for my son’s swim club. Enjoy grilling out, watching the Badgers, Packers and Brewers. I love to spend time with my family: family trips, fishing, cooking out, or sitting on a deer stand with my sons and daughter.

Professionally, I have been here at Mid-States for seven years. About four years ago, we started a department that focused solely on safety. Since we started our department, we have received a Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) award from OSHA. There are only two precast companies in the U.S. to receive this award.

Personally, I am proud to say that I have been married for 27 years to one of the most remarkable ladies that you will ever meet. We have two great kids - well, they aren’t quite kids anymore. My daughter is 19 and my son just turned 18.

Off the Clock
I like to golf, hang out in the pool, garden, and do home improvement projects, which I like to call the honey-do list!

Secret Life
What hardly anyone knows about me is that when I retire, I want to buy an RV and travel the country. I’ll just show up on my kids’ doorsteps unannounced, hehehe.
