Accomplishments
Prior to coming to Mid-States, I’ve had the opportunity to work for a plastic injection molding company within the automotive industry. I was able to hold several roles within the company and learn a great deal before transitioning to Mid-States. Some of those roles included Prototype Engineer, Product Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and Maintenance Manager.
Off the Clock
I enjoy getting out to Delavan Sportsman Club to shoot trap, which I started about 5 years ago now. When I can, I like to be in the garage working on a project or two, often something with wood working. Preferred beer is Spotted Cow but I like to try just about any beer once…. Except IPAs…
MONTE KAHL

Accomplishments
Fifteen years at Lear Corp (Industrial Engineer, Launch Manager, Engineering Manager). Launched the GMT-800 program. Off-site setup and debug of all equipment, trained all operators, gutted the plant, and installed all the new equipment in a three-week shutdown period. Twelve years at M.P.C. (Facilities Manager and Production Manager). Installed all infrastructure for two new sites in Janesville, WI and Morrison, TN.
Off the Clock
Family, golf, cards, and Las Vegas. Also, a charter member of Thursday night Sheepshead club.
Secret Life
Grew up working the tobacco fields on my grandparents’ farm in Cambridge, WI.
RODNEY PUNZEL

Accomplishments
Outside of the company, I have bowled a perfect game, won a bonspiel (curling tournament), and a Life Saver Award from the Fire Department. Additionally, I have an ISO-QMS systems Lead Auditor certification and was a member of ASQ at the Fellowship level. I also have train the trainer certifications from Danaher Corp Lean Zealot. I am also an EMT Advanced and EMS instructor with the State of Wisconsin and has several Wisconsin firefighter certifications, and NFPA certifications for Incident Safety Officer and Health and Safety Officer.
Extracurricular
Footville Volunteer Fire Department, Beloit Health System - EMS and AHA instructor, Hazmat Decon Team Leader. Previous activities include Church President, Parker Band Parent President, G.I.F.T.S. (God is Faithful Temporary Shelter) site leader and counselor.
Off the Clock
I love the outdoors: hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and cooking. I started micro brewing and distilling. I was an avid bowler and enjoyed curling. I like baseball (BrewCrew) and football (GO PACK GO). My new favorite thing is being Papa to my new grandson.
Secret Life
I was an extra real firefighter on an episode of Chicago Fire. I learned to surf at age 50 in Hawaii. I took 4th in a Las Vegas Texas Hold-em tournament.

Accomplishments
Raising 2 awesome kids into incredible adults with my beautiful wife of 32 years has been the biggest accomplishment and joy of my life. The memories of all our family vacations that were made will be instilled in them and me for the rest of my days. As it relates to Mid-States, I’m proud to be part of an amazing team with the same family values. The team here is like family.
Extracurriculars
Sitting on the Quality Enhancement Committee, the QA Supplier Committee, the Quality Personnel Training & Certification Committee, and the Tolerances Committee for PCI. One of the first to attend Paul Ramsberg Epic Mix Design course.
Off the Clock
I love to travel to different places with my wife and experience new adventures each year. When we aren’t on a planned trip, we take weekend excursions when we can. I love to golf, work in the yard and hang out in the pool. I love all types of music including oldies, rock, and country. I especially enjoy live music and we try and go to one or two concerts a year. I joined a cornhole league in 2023. That was a lot of fun!
