SAFETY

Mid-States Concrete Industries is dedicated to protecting its employees and those of our customers from on-the-job injuries.

The Safety Foundation™

We believe that accidents and injuries are preventable if each of us takes personal responsibility for our own safety and the safety of others, both on and off the job.  We also believe no business objective is so important that it will be pursued at the sacrifice of safety.  Safe conduct is a condition of employment and a job is well done only if it is done safely.
sawTo ensure job site safety Mid-States’ installation crews use the safety monitoring system as described in CFR Subpart M Fall Protection Standard 1926. This is not a minimum standard but the recognition of the greater hazard of 100% tie-off. Therefore, Mid-States does not use full body harnesses with shock absorbing lanyards for leading-edge work as they create a greater hazard for our employees.
Mid-States supports and recognizes that PCI (Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute) unequivocally supports the application of 29CFR Part 1926 Subpart M for leading edge operations in precast concrete erection.
Mid-States is committed to providing the indispensable ingredients of a safe working environment: management commitment, a knowledgeable supervisory staff, involved safety leaders, and a conscientious work force.
