Design Engineer -

Provide design engineering on a variety of structural precast/prestressed concrete projects. Provide information to Project Design department for input on CAD drawings

Essential Functions:
75%: Prepare structural calculations to serve as documentation of structural adequacy for precast/prestressed concrete elements. Communicate this information to Project Designers for use on CAD shop drawings. Calculations typically include concrete reinforcement design, connection design and overall stability analysis.

25%: Coordinate with customers, general contractors, and architects on construction details, loadings, and plans.

Qualifications:
BS in Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis Work in construction preferred. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Knowledge of precast/prestressed concrete. Able to read and adjust blueprints. Able to use PC for structural design. Knowledge of Word and Excel. Strong organizational skills. Proficient at managing multiple projects. Excellent interpersonal skills.

Project Designer -

This position is responsible for production of autocad shop drawings for use by customers, production, scheduling and field staff.

This position interfaces closely with both production and sales. Architectural/structural drafting background and blueprint reading is a plus.

Job functions:
Produce shop drawings on autocad. Speaking with customers, architects or engineers about drawing details and revisions. Coordinating design of product with structural engineers.
